"Your words brought tears to my eyes." [new podcast episode]

Hello Reader,

TL;DR Click here to learn about what burnout really is, and what you can do about it.

When Darcie Cameron, Pharmacy Edge’s Executive Director, reached out after a podcast recording to share how my words had moved her to tears, I was touched by the reminder of our shared humanity and the power of authentic connection.

Obviously, I’m not a pharmacist. But I am human, and an entrepreneur. We entrepreneurs all grapple with challenges that test our resilience and push us to our limits.

In a recent episode of the Pharmacy Edge podcast, I had the privilege of sitting down with host Matt Hodgson. Together, we explored wellness for pharmacy professionals—a conversation that resonates far beyond the walls of any pharmacy.

As we dove into the topic of burnout, I couldn’t help but recall my own (very recent) experiences with feeling overwhelmed and disconnected. Maybe you're feeling it today! It’s a universal struggle. When you're running a business--pharmacy or otherwise-- the weight of responsibility can sometimes feel crushing.

In this episode, I lay out the details of what burnout really means. We discuss how to recognize the early warning signs that show up long before we reach a breaking point. But also, Matt and I talk about building resilience and prioritizing mental health in a world that often pushes us to our limits.

For the pharmacy owners and entrepreneurs tuning in, that this conversation is for you. Because at the heart of every thriving business is a leader who understands the value of self-care and emotional well-being.

Click here to listen. Because we are all stronger with support.

Gratefully,
